Annual General Membership Meeting - March 25
Annual General Membership Meeting

Meet us at El Chico's Restaurant in Mountain Home for our Annual General Membership Meeting on March 25, 2016. Time 5 O'clock P.M. to 8:00 PM

The Friends of the Norfork NFH will hold their Annual General Membership Meeting on March 25, 2016 at El Chico’s Restaurant.

Our speaker this year will be the Deputy Assistant Director of Fisheries, Jeff Underwood.  Jeff will be discussing the new USFWS Strategic Plan.  This will be a critical document that the hatcheries and the Friends Groups will need to follow for the coming years.  It is a positive change from the previous Draft version and you will find Jeff’s comments very interesting.

The meeting will start with a social hour at 5:00 pm followed by dinner at 6:00 pm and the General Meeting at 7:00pm.  Dinner and drinks can be ordered from the menu. Since this is Good Friday, there will be several fish meals on the menu.

Our election this year will include the election of a new President (David Lemoine) and Vice President (Pat Smith).  It will also include the addition of several new board members - i.e., the return of the Queen, Pat Smith!, and newcomer Edna Fusco.  George Peters and Bill Brown will end their service as their terms end.  We are grateful for their dedication and support.  Jay Chafin will be up for reelection for a second term.  In addition to the election of the board members, there will be an amendment to our By-Laws to add the position of “Past President” for the members to vote on.

In addition to the election, we will have a brief review of our calendar of events and recognition awards.

We will have a raffle for an Orvis Henry’s Fork mid-flex, two piece, 81/2 ft. 5 wt. Fly Rod.  This rod was donated from Monte Stark’s estate and comes from The Sporting Life Fly Shop which Monte owned and operated for a number of years.  The Fly Rod is new old stock and is something special.  Monte’s spirit is still with us.  We will also start the raffle ticket sales for a Custom Hand-Made Knife crafted by David Lemoine valued at $600.00.

We will continue the ticket sales during Sow Bug which will be April 14–16 with the drawing held at the end of the event.  Come prepared to be dazzled and buy your tickets early.

Please make arrangements to attend.  Thanks for your support.
Best regards,
Leon Alexander, President FNNFH
