Jon Casey - Project Leader

Exciting news, everyone!

It's been a long time coming, and on behalf of the Friends, we can think of no one more deserving than our very own Jon Casey of the appointment as Project Leader of the Norfork National Fish Hatchery!

The following announcement by Allan Brown, Assistant Regional Director, is as follows:

"I am pleased to announce the selection of Jon Casey as the Project Leader of the Norfork NFH.  Jon started his pursuit in the field of fish and wildlife when he received his degree in Fish and Wildlife Management from Arkansas Tech University in 1990.

Jon began his career with the Fish and Wildlife Service in 1992 when he was hired at the Mammoth Spring NFH, AR.  Jon transferred to the Dale Hollow NFH in Tennessee in 1993 and stayed until 1997.  In 1997, Jon was selected for a position at the Norfork NFH and has served there since that time.

In addition to his career with the Fish and Wildlife Service, Jon served his country as a member of the Army national Guard from 1988 until 1997.

Jon is married to wife Tiffany and has 3 sons.  Jon is very active in the community, coaching baseball and basketball.  Beside his family, Jon is passionate about hunting and fishing."

Again, we congratulate Jon and believe that USFWS has made an excellent choice in putting him in charge.  His knowledge of the operation, and passion for what he does will serve the hatchery well.

Way to go!
